- Prepare food items according to the restaurant's recipes.
- Ensure that food is cooked to the right temperature and in a timely manner.
- Keep a clean and organized work area including daily cleaning and deep cleaning duties.
- Follow the required food safety standards and regulations.
- Assist with inventory control and ordering supplies as needed.
- Contribute to developing new menu items and specials.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure that guest orders are fulfilled promptly.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in an Italian restaurant.
- Must be able to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Culinary degree or certificate is a plus.
- Prolonged periods standing and preparing food.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
